So I Guess I'm Blogging Now

Someone recently told me, "You do so many random things, you should start a website to share all of the info." Well, I already have 100+ domains with various little sites and tools and a bunch of other projects, but he was right. I don't really tell anyone about most of the things I do. I'm not a self-marketing type of person. I've often heard that blogging can be cathartic. I am not sure I understand because self-expression has never been my thing. And I feel like I'm starting about 30 years too late. But I'm doing it anyway.

Hi, I'm Alek. If you've gotten this far, then you've probably already been through the rest of my page and know me as well as anyone else does. I'm a tinkerer and love to learn new things. I'm usually motivated when I think those new things will help me somehow, but it's mostly from the dopamine rush I get from those little "eureka!" moments that tinkering gives you.

What You Can Expect

I take on lots of projects. Some work, some personal, most with no specific end-goal. Sometimes I'm lucky and they end up making something useful. And this is not just true for tech projects. I'm a serial hobbyist because I try to find what I'm good at just as much as I try to find what I enjoy. Expect me to post about Amateur Radio, Tech Stuff, Vibe Coding new projects and, of course, my dogs.

I'm mostly doing this as a goal. I can put my thoughts down here and even if they don't appeal to someone else, then I can come back and read them and remember what I was doing.
